Control plane for telemetry agents

Every agent's config, from one layered spec.

Strataplane renders a complete configuration for every Telegraf and Elastic Agent installation, delivers it over the agent's own protocol and shows what each agent actually runs.

Layers, rendered per agent
  1. base · * interval = "10s"
  2. linux · os = linux [[inputs.cpu]]
  3. prod-eu · env = prod, region = eu urls = ["https://metrics.eu"]
  4. db-hosts · role = postgres [[inputs.postgresql]]

Built for fleets, not for files

  • Layers with selectors

Precedence, deep merge and knockouts instead of copied per-host files. Every value can explain where it comes from.

  • A closed feedback loop

Desired versus applied config for every agent, health from heartbeats, staged rollouts that halt when a guardrail breaks.

  • Reviewed change sets

Each change shows which hosts it affects; approvals follow that impact.

  • Secrets by reference

An agent receives only the secrets its config references, gated by grants and identity, and every delivery is audited.

  • Every capability is a command

The same commands drive the CLI, CI pipelines and the built-in assistant.
